Marketplace Finds: How to Get Your Items Home Safely

Buying Local Without the Stress

Scrolling through Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist for vintage furniture or great deals is a favorite pastime for NYC residents. But the 'last mile' of the transaction—actually getting that item from a stranger's living room to yours—is often where things fall apart. You don't want to rent a large truck just for one chair, and Uber drivers certainly won't help you load it.

The Van Advantage

Our marketplace pickup service is designed specifically for these scenarios. We provide the van, the muscle, and the logistics. Whether it is an armoire in Philadelphia or a sofa in North Jersey, we coordinate with the seller, pick up the item safely, and transport it directly to your door. We treat your marketplace finds with the same care as new retail items.

Avoiding Alternate-Side Parking Nightmares

When you are picking up an item in a dense neighborhood, the last thing you want is to be double-parked while waiting for a seller to come downstairs. Our pros know how to navigate the local parking landscape and manage pickups efficiently so you don't end up with a ticket or a frustrated neighbor.

Inspection and Transport

Worried about the condition of the piece? We can provide a quick visual check during pickup to ensure the item matches the description, giving you an extra layer of comfort. Save your car's upholstery and your nerves—let us handle the heavy lifting and transport. Schedule your pickup today at /book-marketplace.
